Jessie has been our vocal coach at the Warminster School for 3 years, now stepping up to the principal's role at Calne she knows the heart of A.C.T.S and what it is that makes us special. Jessie started accompanying for singing classes when she was 11 and had her first Musical Directors job at the age of 14. This began her lifelong love of singing and musical theatre. Since then she has completed her BMus (hons.) in Music at the University of London in 2004 and is currently a freelance musical director, vocal coach, musical arranger and accompanist, alongside working for the wider A.C.T.S umbrella throughout WIltshire. Jessie has previously taught with Hackney Musical Development Trust in London, and currently provides private singing lessons to students in Swindon. In addition she is one of the principal tutors for Swindon based vocal education charity the JTPTrust and is heavily involved in the Swindon Fringe Festival In 2011 Jessie created a new adaptation of John Gay’s The Beggar’s Opera with Matt Fox at her theatre company 'Madam Rendards'. Since then Jessie has written the music for a number of new musicals and operas including Nights, Madrababes, The Indisposition of David Phillips & The Bridal Ballad, as well as many choral works including the annually performed Christmas piece The Holly, The Ivy & the Mistletoe. She has a real passion for musical theatre and loves to share it with our students!
‘Dominic is a Performing Arts professional with extensive experience in acting, theatre directing, company stage managing, facilitation, and teaching. He has worked on many theatrical genres and has directed over 60 productions from 25 different playwrites, his own works, and new writings by up and coming authors. Career highlights include directing a highly successful Jane Austin comedy for a 34 venue tour and being recognised for 'exceptional' directing abilities by an Oscar, Bafta and Olivier winner.
Dominic has studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA), The National theatre and The Royal Shakespeare company. He also has trained as a TV presenter and in stage combat. With a BA (hons) in child development, youth studies and working with young people Dominic is the perfect addition to our team.
Samantha Jennings (BA, RAD RTS PGCE QTS) is a passionate, talented dance lecturer with an impressive lifetime´s career in dance, film and choreography. She has taught age range 3 to adults across schools in UK and Europe, entering students for exams of the RAD, ISTD and IDTA. She has directed and choreographed a plethora of shows, ran professional dance businesses and coached professionals.
In addition, she holds a BA arts degree gained at Cheltenham University (OU CATS scheme) in Performance Arts & Visual Arts.
Her accolades include: Dance Voice UK published dance professional. A National Award winner of First Dance sponsored by Brides/Wedgewood (2006). Self owned UK company 'Beaus & Belles.' Televised appearance - Mark Summers TV 'The Boss is coming to Dinner.' Dance articles published for KS1 & 2 (TES)
As well as enjoying working with young students, Samantha has a passion to reach out to the older community and is a RAD 'Silver Swans' teacher in Wilts.
She very much looks forward to joining the A.C.T.S team.
