Singing Coach, Principal and Founder:
Since gaining status as Bachelor of Music from the University of Surrey, Chris has had 15 years' experience in professional and amateur musical theatre, working with adults and children alike. As a Director and Musical Director, Singing Coach, Instrumental teacher and Music Teacher he has a wealth of experience. As a composer he has had work performed in 'Her Majesty's Theatre' in London's West End. Having previously co-founded a theatre school in Essex in 2006, which is still successfully running today, and working in several other established theatre schools, Chris is now relishing building a strong school in Wiltshire. He is passionate in his quest to provide not only a solid base for people to train but also a strong link between the amateur and professional worlds in the performing arts.
Drama Coach and Director:
Madelaine Ryan is a professional actor and drama teacher. She graduated from The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA) with a masters in professional acting, where her training encompassed all media: Live Theatre, TV & Film and Radio. Madelaine is cofounder and is now an associate artist for Moon On A Stick Puppetry Company. Some of her acting/directing credits include Open House (Nice Work if You Can Get It) and Tenant of Wildfell Hall (Roughhouse Theatre). Now specialising in acting classes, and LAMDA tuition she is a perfect addition to our team. Madelaine is an inspiring teacher and enjoys creating a fun environment for students to develop their confidence and acting ability.
Jessie started accompanying for singing classes when she was 11 and had her first Musical Directors job at the age of 14. This began her lifelong love of singing and musical theatre. Since then she has completed her BMus (hons.) in Music at the University of London in 2004 and is currently a freelance musical director, vocal coach, musical arranger and accompanist. Jessie has previously taught with Hackney Musical Development Trust in London, and currently provides private singing lessons to students in Swindon. In addition she is one of the principal tutors for Swindon based vocal education charity the JTPTrust and is heavily involved in the Swindon Fringe Festival In 2011 Jessie created a new adaptation of John Gay’s The Beggar’s Opera with Matt Fox at her theatre company 'Madam Rendards'. Since then Jessie has written the music for a number of new musicals and operas including Nights, Madrababes, The Indisposition of David Phillips & The Bridal Ballad, as well as many choral works including the annually performed Christmas piece The Holly, The Ivy & the Mistletoe. She has a real passion for musical theatre and loves to share it with our students!
Dance Coach and Choreographer:
Tabitha has lived and breathed theatre for 24 years. Along the way she has gained experience in many areas, both on and off stage. Highlights have been producing and directing a twice NODA award winning production and Choreographing for sell out shows also with NODA nominations. Tabitha began to teach and choreograph dance from the young age of 14, assisting teachers for a local group. This passion has carried on through the years by taking her experience from dance schools and theatre groups and passing it on to inspire all ages. Tabitha also enjoys working on small filming projects and teaches primary school activities clubs for dance and fitness.
